Material Handler

Essential Duties

Read job processors to determine material and parts to be moved 
Load and unload material from pallets, racks, and shelves 
Use equipment for moving materials 
Place materials in their proper location so they are available for use when needed 
Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority 
Communicate with Supervision to determine overdue material, parts, and status 
Transfer material to and from storage areas to designated areas 
Examine material, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts 
Compare job processor specifications to material used at work stations to verify appropriate material 
Prioritize work load to meet shipping schedule
Welding and Grinding: Kit Welding jobs, pull material from Warehouse or material in process, stage for production in appropriate department 
Assist in hanging and removing larger parts in wash and paint area
Move Satellite tanks to next operation and location 
Stage material and orders for 2nd shift 
Inventory: track, move, put in correct locations, record transactions in computer 
Pull parts based on Bill of Material 
Assist in assembly and shipping as needed
Maintain Transaction Logs & other documentation as needed
Complete preventative maintenance on equipment including changing batteries
Operate equipment in a safe manner at all times

Recognition of nonconforming products and services
To have a basic understanding of the ISO Quality and Documentation System
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and/or quality system
Authority as determined by Management for final disposition of product 
Participate as required in quality audits and in developing quality plans
Carry out tasks in a safe manner in accordance with known and/or published safety policies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
 

Authority

Effect any change(s) necessary to control and maintain the Falls Fabricating LLC, ISO-9001:2015 Quality System
Initiate corrective and preventive actions as necessary to support ISO-9001:2015 registration/certification
Stop production if any process adversely affects product quality
 

Education and/or Experience

Forklift Certified 
Manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary for position
 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Constant standing and walking required     
Regularly required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach
Regularly required to lift and move materials
