Job Description

Job Title: Forming

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Read detailed prints and shop routing instructions
  • Read and understand basic measurement values for a tape measure to the 1/32” increment and be able to read a caliper to the .001” increment
  • Must be competent in the use of squares and angle measurement devices
  • Operate press brake in diversified work involving a broad range of material thicknesses and simple to complex bending operations
  • Make necessary adjustments to hold tolerances and keep the machines operating productively
  • Work with drawings, prints, N/C or CNC tapes, and computer programs to operate CNC, N/C and mechanical Press Brake equipment

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recognition of nonconforming products and services
  • To have a basic understanding of the ISO Quality and Documentation System
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and/or quality system
  • Participate as required in quality audits and in developing quality plans
  • Carry out tasks in a safe manner in accordance with known and/or published safety policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

AUTHORITY

  • Effect any change(s) necessary to control and maintain the Falls Fabricating LLC, ISO-9001:2008 Quality System
  • Initiate corrective and preventive actions as necessary to support ISO-9001:2008 registration/certification
  • Stop production if any process adversely affects product quality

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary for position

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Constant standing and walking required
  • Regularly required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach
  • Regularly required to lift and move materials
